1.Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, role
- Acquisition criteria: budget range, preferred sectors, provinces (buyer thesis)
- Listing data: financial figures, business details (sellers/brokers)
- Usage data: pages visited, listings viewed, time on page
- Payment data: processed by Stripe — NxtOwner does not store card details
2.How We Use Your Information
- To match buyers with relevant listings
- To operate deal rooms and NDA workflows
- To send transactional emails (NDA confirmations, deal room activity)
- To improve platform features through usage analytics
- We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.
3.Data Storage
Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL). Data may be hosted on servers outside Canada. We are working toward Canadian data residency and will update this policy when it is in place.
4.Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
5.Your Rights (PIPEDA)
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data. Contact privacy@nxtowner.ca to exercise these rights.
6.Data Retention
Account data is retained for the duration of your account. Deal room records and signed NDAs are retained for 7 years for legal compliance. You may request account deletion at any time — deal room records will be anonymized, not deleted.
